Mr. Boller
NFL quarterback and California native Kyle Boller bought a four-bedroom, 3.5 bath at 14945 Via La Senda in Del Mar for $2.55 million from Lynn Kunkle on April 3.
Kunkle paid $1.905 million for the home in June 2003. It was built in 1984.
The 4,322 square foot home was listed for $2.795 million.
Considered one of the top California prep and collegiate quarterbacks of the last decade, Boller, 26, has played the last five seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.
Drafted 19th overall out of the University of California-Berkeley by the Ravens in 2003, Boller has appeared in 53 games in his career. He enjoyed his best season in 2004 as the team's regular starter, passing for career highs in completions (258), yards (2,559) and touchdowns (13). He appeared in 12 games for the team in 2007 while battling for the team's starting job with veteran Steve McNair.
Originally from the San Fernando Valley town of Newhall, Boller was named the California State Player of the Year in 1998 before starring at Cal. He finished his career with the second most passing yards in school history after earning an All-Pac 10 second team selection as a senior.
Although still single, Boller has previously dated Hollywood actresses Tara Reid and Haylie Duff and model Petra Nemcova. A 2005 ESPN.com online survey listed him as the runner-up in the web site's "Hottest Male Athlete" poll, behind soccer superstar David Beckham.
