Computer software pro spends $1.555M for La Jolla 3BD

Devin Breise and his wife, Ruth Leivers, bought a three-bedroom, two bath at 6216 Beaumont Ave. in La Jolla for $1.555 million from the City of San Diego on March 10.
The 1,600 square foot home was listed for $1.695 million. It was built in 1957.
Breise has served as a chief architect of the tax division at Intuit Inc., the Mountainview-based makers of small business and personal finance software including Quicken, QuickBooks and TurboTax.
He earned his bachelor's in Computer Science from Stanford University.
The City of San Diego bought the house in 1965 for $35,295, for a road-widening project which never materialized. It has been a rental property ever since.
